DIY Aircon servicing & simple troubleshooting during Circuit Breaker

Unable to find aircon contractors during this extended circuit breaker period?

It is unfortunate that our 'general exemption to continue to operate' was rescinded due to the increase number of infection.

We are limited to 2 days per week to attend urgent complains through time limited exemption in GoBusiness , due to the overwhelming complain cases we might not be able to attend to all cases. So there are a few DIY tips you may try before reaching us. Should the steps below doesn't help with your situation, feel free to reach out to us @Whatsapp 91811013!

However, we would also fully support our government's measure. So before reaching out to us, please fill up this Precautionary measure form and download the TraceTogether app.

Aircon not cold or not working as cold as before?

As long as there is no blinking lights on your air-con, there isn't any major fault or error code with your aircon. So firstly, check your remote control settings and make sure it is on cool mode. Sometimes, we often missed out the simplest settings. So do have a second look on your remote to ensure it is on cool mode (the icon with snow flake). If not, press mode till the cool mode is selected and set the temperature lower.

Clean your Air Filter and Evaporator Coil in 3 Simple STEPS!

Usually the air-con filter and evaporator coil is dirty, thus the air flow is stuck causing the cool air unable to flow out smoothly.

- Step 1 -

Open up your air-con cover to access the air filter and evaporator coil.

- Step 2 -

Push up the filters to take them out and use your shower hose to wash out the dusts on the filter. Tip: Some air-con has a special filter a smaller strip type that can be separated to be clean thoroughly!

- Step 3 -

Use a toothbrush to brush clean the evaporator coil with a wet cloth below to prevent the brushed dust from clogging the water tray below. Once done, put everything back in place!

Aircon leaking water?

Firstly, check if your air-con drainpipe outlet (usually at the toilet near a floor trap or sometimes inside the floor trap) if there is any water draining out from it when the air-con is on. Sometimes, when cleaning the toilet floor, we may accidentally shifted the aircon drainpipe upwards to clean the floor and forgot to put back the drainpipe downwards, causing the aircon water unable to drain out and resulting the aircon to leak water.

So sometimes, we have to just push the drainpipe outlet down to let the water to drain it out to prevent the aircon from leaking water.

If there isn't any water draining out from this outlet when the aircon is switched on, most likely the drainpipe outlet is jammed due to fungal jelly infection. You will need to have a vacuum cleaner (with wet function) to vacuum the drainpipe at the outlet here to clear out any fungal jelly to resolve the water leaking issue!

Should the above steps taken still fail you, we strongly recommend you to contact us ASAP to book an appointment via whatsapp @91811013. Please be patient as there are very limited slots available per week and priorities are given for our essential service commercial and NPO's customers.

Stay safe and healthy!
